Welcome Alexa Drew to the MSU-PCRC

Alexa Drew

First, I am excited to announce that Alexa Drew has joined the MSU-PCRC as Regulatory Manager. Alexa Drew is a Program Director for the Child Health Advances through Research with Mothers (CHARM) project in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and has been at MSU for 8 ye

ars. In her role with CHARM, Alexa led the implementation of the NIH Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) study across Michigan, including all regulatory requirements. She holds an MS in Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University.

As many of you are aware, our programs and practices continue to experience challenges  navigating complex Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and procedures, barriers which undermine graduate medical education and resident research participation.

As Regulatory Manager, Alexa will oversee compliance with research regulations, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Data Use Agreement (DUA) policies and procedures. With extensive experience navigating regulatory processes and working with numerous IRBs from

institutions across the state, I am confident that Alexa’s support will help streamline these processes and allow our practices to more effectively engage in collaborative research opportunities as the PCRC continues to grow and evolve.
