MSU Primary Care Research Collaborative MSU-PCRC

The MSU-PCRC hosted its inaugural Research Summit in September 2025 in collaboration with the MSU Family Medicine Residency Network, showcasing the exciting ongoing research conducted by residency program members, including MyMichigan Alma Family Medicine Residency Program (Drs. Jenna Bernson, Ori Drory, and Brian Brzozka) and the UP Health System Marquette Family Medicine Residency Program (Dr. Meredith Buck and Madiline McNamara, MS4). The Summit will be hosted annually.

The MSU-PCRC also recently launched its Research Training Fellowship Program (RTFP) in September 2025, a research training program designed for residency program faculty who play a significant role in resident scholarly activity, curriculum development, and mentorship. The RTFP is a rigorous 15-month long program funded by the American Board of Family Medicine and the MSU Department of Family Medicine with the goal of promoting research capacity in residency programs and a shared community of practice among family physicians. The 2025-2026 inaugural cohort includes 6 faculty from 6 residency programs across CHM’s community campuses. The MSU-PCRC is excited by this opportunity to support the research interests of our community faculty and to build research capacity across the residency programs.
